Helped a fellow MD motorist again this evening

I try not to show prejudice when help needs to be lent, but...... Im a sucker for the Star. It all started when I found a street side parking spot for a late dinner with a friend and it just happened to be in front of a well kept late model W126 SEL, so in my head I was saying (SCORE!!!) and took the spot and went to grab dinner,
" I would have grabbed a pic but it was too dark, I tried ".
Anyway, I came back to my car after dinner and I noticed the owner had his hood up, I realized that he was trying to get his right headlamp to work correctly. he had the rear cover off and was jiggling the harness attached to the bulb to no real avail. By this point, I could tell this wasnt his first time having this issue, so I asked him if I could give it a try, then proceeded to finesse the spade prongs on the bulb and replugged it back in and was able to get it working properly, I could tell he wasn't interested in buying parts to fix it, He didnt seem to appreciate the car the way it deserved to be, ( maybe he had not owned the car long enough or maybe I'm just weird about these cars) so I told him a real cheap fix would be to wrap a little piece of foil around each terminal on the bulb and reattach the harness, he seemed grateful and told me he would try that.
I also told him to check out this forum, I told him alot of fixes on these cars can end up being a lot easier and cheaper than one might think with the right help.

That's okay, there's nothing wrong with helping Maryland folks. They're good people too.
