I'm still struggling with the concept of badminton as an Olympic sport...

It's all about the shuttlecocks.

At first I thought you meant they were actually throwing matches. You know, trying to burn each other. Figured maybe that was some arcane Badminton tradition. Like wearing odd hats and drinking Pimm's Cup or something.

I've always wondered if any medical personnel have ever had to treat anyone for badminton-related injuries?

One of the few times I played I missed a step and landed on my chest. It felt like I'd never get my breath back. I went back to tennis where my worst injury was a sunburn.

On my San Francisco tours I like to pitch pennies into the Cable Car track slots on California Street at the top of Nob Hill. Hella fun, an old SF game that natives play, ( loser gets to buy the drinks. ) Tom W. on here with his wife on vacation, did it with me last month and they beat me like a chinese gong..
