Back a few years ago my buddy and I had a bit of an Autobahn run up Rt8 with my SDL and his S600 on the way to a meet.


All I can say is that the guys in the 500E's behind us saw a lot of cops, we must have been called in.:D:cool:

I pretty much kept my foot to the floor of the SDL the whole way up, don't think I did much less than 100 at any point...he had a V12...he left me like I was parked a few times.:D:cool:

I got pulled over in beautiful Brooklyn Illinois, home of 4 strip clubs and 2 massage parlors (and one daycare, of all things), for defective equipment. I had a 4 inch crack in the windshield of a new Kia, above the rearview mirror where I couldn't even see it from inside the car.

I about crapped my pants, because I also had a Colt Series 70 Combat Commander in the console, which was a BIG no-no in Illinois. They had billboards up saying that you could get 5 years in the big house for having a loaded weapon in the car.

I dropped a map on top of the Colt, out of sight of the law, and counted my blessings that I looked innocent...took my BS ticket and got the heck out of Illinois.
