Fukishima Issue?

This is crazy if it's true.

Quote:
(San Francisco) President Obama asked Duke Power Corporation in the States to test run some plutonium fuel rods (MOX) in three of their reactors. The physicists said No; but, the head boss of Duke Power said “Yes.” Obama’s test run failed miserably.

As a result, the country very nearly lost the state of South Carolina. Those deadly Plutonium cores were jerked out of those three big Duke Power reactors so fast it would make your head spin.
Undaunted, unbowed and too ignorant to be afraid, the President of the United States asked the President of a Japanese utility, the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO,) to run the “test” of the Plutonium fuel.
Now, what are you going to do when the President of the US asks you for a favor?
The test was slated immediately for the MOX fuel rods, of course. That is 21,000 lbs of 94.6% pure bomb grade Plutonium 239 (Pu 239) down blended and mixed with Uranium to form MOX 6% Pu 239 nuclear fuel rods.
Here’s what happened, perhaps as a result of President Obama’s political dabbling in real life-or-death physics. This stuff gets real serious real fast.
These “brave” characters inhabiting an imaginary newsroom on the set of “THE NEWSROOM,” an American TV series are closer to the reality of Japan’s sabotaged reactors than their real life news reader counterparts will ever be. Five hundred eighteen days into the continuous reactor meltdowns and global dispersion of reactor cores; it’s a direct choice for “Gruesome Death” made by the pro-nukers. The deed is done and cannot be reversed.
LETHAL DOSES
How many Lethal Doses of radiation from radioactive particles are in our air just from Fukushima Daiichi’s trashed reactors? As of Jun 29, 2012 Dr. Paolo Scampa, a noted physicist stated:
“… [about Fukushima reactors exploding] … occasioning a prodigious explosion of radioactivity and radiotoxicity which over time, is several times the amount needed to kill by internal contamination the whole human race.” - Dr Paolo Scampa, PhD., Nuclear Physicist.

Fuel Fleas From Fukushima

"Fuel Fleas", also known as "Hot Particles" are radioactive, smaller than the width of a human hair, and undetectable with Geiger Counters. They "latch on to lung and other tissues" and cause cancer. They have now been detected in Seattle and other West Coast locations at levels 50% of what Tokyo has. According to Nuclear expert Arnie Gunderson, we can’t run, the Genie is out of the bottle. It’s reported that the W.H. knew that there were full meltdowns 3.5 hours after the event, and didn’t tell us because…..

“What did the President know, and when did he know it?” This could make all previous Obama scandals seem small by comparison.

Alarmist twaddle. Yes, Fukushima was a goatf**k on a grand scale, but it had nothing to do with MOX fuel (which has been successfully used in France and Germany for the last decade at least).

At 94.6%? Below article states 6%.

Quote:
"[S]itting at the top of [Reactor 4], in a pool that is cracked, leaking, and precarious even without an earthquake, are 1,565 fuel rods (give or take a few), some of them 'fresh fuel' that was ready to go into the reactor on the morning of March 11 when the earthquake and tsunami hit," writes Consolo. "If they are MOX fuel, containing six percent plutonium, one fuel rod has the potential to kill 2.89 billion people."

What scandals? Haven't heard any, but I don't watch TV or listen to AM radio; so what do I know (?)

Rods aren't 94.6% Pu - shipping that to Japan would violate the Non-Proliferation Treaty.

Secondly, killing 2.89 billion people per rod would assume that 100% of the residue from a damaged rod would end up in human bodies.

Lastly, the article was lamenting the dangers of "new" rods. Actually, if they knew the first thing about physics, they'd realize that spent fuel is actually MUCH more radioactive and dangerous. In the 1940s during the Manhattan Project, people handled (Pu-239) bomb cores with their bare hands.

The 100% is an example. There are a lot more than one rod.
Regardless, from what is being said, if # 4 collapses, it could ruin many a weekend, no?

The article appears to be written by someone with a gross ignorance of physics and science in general. Correct: #4 collapsing won't be good, but spreading nonsensical FUD doesn't do anyone any good.

Why is it I have a funny feeling FEMA or our President won't be telling us we are dying until we figure it out for ourselves?

You're assuming that there are no media outlets outside the US, nor universities and agencies with air-sampling equipment. Remember how well covering up Chernobyl worked out for the Soviets?

Fukushima was tragic. Twisting it to fit an anti-Obama agenda is just bizarre and crazy.

The Tsunami was clearly a democrat-party-crafted BO diversion
