I used to play 8 and 9 ball tourneys in the 1990's in the western Ohio area, and did fairly well. I learned how to play under Emmert Royer, a damn good player, and founder of BHA Pianos in Dayton. His son opened a pool hall with his wife and kid, and I used to play there all the time.

By far the best I've ever watched in person was Jeanette Lee. Not only was she easy on the eyes, but she was a killer on the slate. Some of the impossible shots she pulled off were amazing!

I had the opportunity many years ago to go to Vegas and watch the best of the best play...Efren Reyes.

I haven't picked up a cue in 15 years. I gave it up once I decided to grow completely up and work for honest money instead of betting. My custom McDermott cue is sitting in the closet in it's case. Perhaps I'll pull it out and teach my son how to play...
