Amazon return item

I am wondering how to go about returning an item bought on Amazon which was not what it was supposed to be. Is it possible to get a human to talk with?

Good luck getting a human.

look in the 'your account' section of their website, go to 'orders' and there should be a button to click for 'return'

They will provide all the steps necessary to get it sent back

I love Amazon. Their return policy is very fair and easy to use (IMHO). I like the fact you print out your mailing label at home and UPS, Fed Ex, etc picks it up at your home.

If the problem was their fault (defective, different than advertised, etc.), Amazon pays the return freight as well as the freight to get you the right item. If it is your fault (e.g. changed your mind, didn't like it, etc.), they deduct the cost of freight from your refund.

I've always had good service via email (I run a customer service email application as a large part of my job so I'm always judging other systems...) and typically if you request a call from a CSR, they'll make sure you get a call soon.

I actually just had an Amazon delivery come in 20 mins ago....

piece of cake, follow cmb's instructions. I've never had an issue that didn't resolve easily and well.

Thanks to your encouragement I did the amazon process and they are refunding me in full on one item to be returned, and on the other they said we are refunding your money and you don't have to return it.
