Has Anyone Seen 2016 the Movie?

The title is the question.

David Wilson 08-23-2012 08:31 AM

The problem with this type of movie is that left leaning people wont go see it for fear of having their eyes opened up to the truth.

And right leaning people wont go as they know enough that their decision is already made. BO must go!

Preaching to the choir. Nothing more.

Exactly. Why would an Obama supporter want to see it?
OTOH, it may have an effect on the undecided moderates. Certainly won't change anyone here's opinion or vote, bur OD is not a typical cross section of the American voter.

Not a blind follower of Obama (or any DC dirtbag), but I know propaganda when I see it. And choose not to touch it with a 10-foot pole.

Yea, I am sure that's the reason. Do your standards also apply to the movie Game Changer or Fahrenheit 9/11 or were they just propaganda?

The narrarator of the movie preview sounds like a computer generated audio voice from an info phone call, real but not real much like this crap. Its election time and Here comes the Republicans down the isle with their famous ways of having no substance to build on to win a campaign ,instead they build a weak minded info-mercial made into a movie ,brilliant. This Goes to show you how their mind works,if no facts are subjected in the story then no facts are their to show the real side to counter the purposed subject matter.Thats the perfect political device and they use it over and over again. The premise is much like this from what Ive gathered ,Obama is going to change our Govt, downsizing it for his own purpose due to a deep seeded wish from his childhood ,all with somekind of religious undertones .Then it steps back to show how he feels destined on this intervention of change for reasons of his own due to what his father went thru as a young man in a country ruled by western society.Wow ,thats quit a story of blah.To finish a story of fiction you have to have a zinger for an ending ,the outcome is that we will all be poorer for it.
Does The GOP stand behind this stuff ? I mean really ,to pull up a circus tent like this one and expect full hardedly that people will believe its content may look good on paper but now that its out their, what were they thinking?.What Democracy has to decide now is who lives in a real world and who lives outside watching from afar.

It is my HOPE that OD is not representative.

This is a personal opinion, not based on any market research or polls. There is no link to my opinion. sorry.

All movies of this type are propaganda if you already have an opinion that differs from the intent of the show.

Doesn't matter if you're right or left. Just views from different sides of the fence.

davidmash 08-23-2012 12:22 PM

I do not agree that a POV affects whether or not something is propaganda or not. Facts can stand on their own. You seemed to imply that the 'propaganda' in the 2016 movie was the truth (your words) but admitting that the movie is propaganda would seem to imply that the movie is not the truth or at least if there is truth in the movie that it has been twisted around a bit.

More to the point, if the movie is propaganda, then why on earth would anyone waste their time to see it?

greazzer 08-23-2012 01:22 PM

Once it hits the local cinema, I am going to invest my $8.50. It cannot be worse than the Bourne Legacy, which was hyped up a great deal.

BTW -- isn't every movie by its very nature propaganda ? My guess. Heck, Michael Moore must be super P.O.'d right now. He's first in line to denounce capitalism and our system of economics (at least the way it should be run), but he's also first in line to get his big, fat paycheck. And, of course, last to answer any questions about his wealth and income. Seems a little bit hypocritical if you ask me.... Let's see if the movie is a game changer. I am also surprised that Eric Holden or someone in Justice did not move to ban or block the movie as well. But he's not partisan or very selective about what DoJ pursues is he ?

No substance? There is PLENTY of substance in the form of B.O.'s miserable failure in the area of economic policies. His underlings in the MSM will NOT let this be a topic of discussion, however.
