I observed a really huge star (planet?) yesterday morning in the eastern half of the sky shortly before the sun broke over the horizon.
I was musing at which one it might be and concluded venus was most likely. anyone know for sure?

A blue moon is when you have two full moons in one month.

Don't worry guys and gals - all the loonies that weren't in Tampa, will be in Charlotte for the DNC convention during the blue moon.
Believe me, you couldn't pay me enough money to even try to drive thru Charlotte over the next week. Just stay clear of NC and Charlotte in particular for the next week, and you'll be fine.
