That's odd...weren't they saying the same thing when they started pushing evolution?

chasinthesun 09-03-2012 07:52 PM

I think your religion once wanted to silence Nicolaus Copernicus and Galileo Galilei. What if they had suceeded?

That would be the Catholic Church...not my religion or faith. The Vatican doesn't speak for mt

Ah, so different churches are to be attributed different interpretations of the same basic texts. I guess it's just a matter of shopping for the right one?

Everybody knows the devil put dinosaur bones in the ground to mislead us. What in the world is wrong with you people?

You mean that you have never known before this time that there are about as many interpretations of the Bible as there are those who read it? I expect the same holds true for the Quoran, the Jewish Scrolls or any other literary work of Religion.

Im not knocking the faithful ,its the mission by some that have dinosaurs on the Arc next to the elephant pen . Dinosaurs is a new one for me,since my early years Id never had this taught to me in any form or fashion .The first time a museum has been used to set a coarse by the faithful just has my curiousity, I mean how far are they wanting to change our views about Evolution ,if its to change text books then we can all start getting worried.

MS Fowler 09-04-2012 11:32 AM

It would be so much simpler, if everyone just agreed with what I say the Bible says.

elchivito 09-04-2012 12:50 PM

Seems to me that a museum is the appropriate place for displaying old, discarded things. Like creation "science".
