Nah I was kind of hoping another storm would step up to the plate on that one. We just have a lame depression in the Atlantic which isn't living up to expectations.

But gas prices have gone up 30 cents. It can't be a dud.

"We are asked all the time who does the tea party movement recommend we vote for. That is a difficult question to answer because the tea party is a movement of millions of different Americans and organizations. What we do share in common is supporting the most conservative, constitutional, limited government, free market candidates available in any given election."
Well if that's the case than it should be a no contest support Ron Paul 2012 case closed question. If that is the type of candidates the tea party wants to elect than why do they even need to choose between the other candidates just look at their records. maybe I'm missing something about this whole tea party movement. Maybe some of you all could enlighten me......

The Teocons are just like the Neocons. They pretend to be conservatives and against big government, but they really just want a big government shaped their way.

That's what drives me nuts.

Because even if it disruptions production the gas at the pumps was pumped 2-3 months ago...so why are we seeing the price go up on that gas?

The tea party guys were mostly nut jobs, saw a ton of them at the gun shows, and they are annoying.

Ron Paul is pretty good, I voted for him before, and I think this time around I'll vote for him again. Even if I have to write him in.

Yeah, but then we would have had ANOTHER oil slick to clean up in the Gulf.

Perhaps the Good Lord figured with the RNC in town, there was enough hot air and wind in Tampa already.

Not bad in my area. Strongest winds were steady at 30-35 gusting to 50. Lasted 4-5 hrs. Some pwr lines down here and there. Not as much rain as predicted in my locality. Below Houma and east to St Bernard Parish (pronounced "Saint Binnahd") it got pretty bad according to local news reports and either corroborated or picked-up by the Weather Channel.

It's not a bad thing. The storm veered left.
