I cannot figure out how to open the sunroof,I don't see any controls or manual crank? I just rec'd this car and do not know if there is a special way to start the engine?

Turn it on; let the glow plugs cycle, and start it up.

For the sun roof, look for a button that looks like this. That is the sun roof control. Assuming everything is in working order that will open and close it.

If you happen to open it and cant close it, there is a manual control in the trunk. Usually on the driver side, above the wheel well.

As for starting, as stated above, turn the key to the on position and wait for the glow plug light (the light is the one in the bottom right with the curly line)to go out then crank her up. If the light does not work, it might be a blown bulb or it could be a faulty glow plug issue.
