When I do drink after work, it's usually beer. not Miller lite. This time of year I really like Shiner Oktoberfest. To me it one of the best beers ever made. It has a great balance.
When I have a Martini, I like it shaken with ice, poured super cold so a layer of ice forms on top then add one or two olives. sometimes use a lime wedge in place of an olive. I drink for taste, not so much the effect.

I simply don't have to worry about alcoholic issues when I pick up the car keys.
I worry about the alcoholics driving the other cars:eek:.

But, if you really want to get yourself a very tasty and powerful drink...........you only need two...........the Contreau daiquiri fits the bill:

2 oz. Rum (Capt. Morgan spiced rum is fine)
2 oz. Contreau
3/4 oz. lime juice
1/2 oz. simple syrup.

Bet you cannot drink only two................

Sounds good, but I can probably have more than a few.

My buddy and I when we get going will kill a bottle of vodka in an hour and a half.:D Were done after that though!

One night, I noticed I drank the whole bottle of wine while watching TV.

Knowing that I come from a long line of distinguished alcoholics, I switched to herbal tea. :o

Yeah you have to watch it, this is why I typically don't drink during the week, and well I just don't have time. Also I find as I get older I enjoy the after affects, IE a hangover less and less.

But over the last couple of months I have had time, and I'm down the boat every night so I have been drinking more beer than I like.

Summer is over though so that's ending soon.

Its a rare day, read hard, when I come home and poor myself a martini or several. But those days do happen.

You can have all you wish.

But, be advised that this is a rum based cocktail...........not vodka. The final results from a rum drink are toxic..........far worse than any vodka drink.

If you manage four of them............you'll be paying dearly the next morning.

Yep, which is why I won't do it it. I don't do hangovers anymore.

BTW when are you going to be around? Want to go out in the boat one night before its yanked for the season?

I have been using it just about every night when I'm not working.

I would like to see that boat.

I'm in CT every Tuesday and Wednesday for the foreseeable future. Call me on the cell and we'll go out after work.

We should start a "show us your boat or boat project" thread.

I have a boat project. it is a 1961 Cutter Como with a 1960 40 HP Johnson.
