A new poll shows US Senator Scott Brown with a lead over Elizabeth Warren, a break from a string of four previous polls that showed Warren leading the race.
The new University of Massachusetts Lowell/Boston Herald telephone poll of 524 voters, released Wednesday night, showed Brown leading 49 percent to 45 percent among those deemed likely to vote.

Ted had the ability of swimming and lying to protect the Kennedy name and was an adjunct spy.

Quote:
The issue is a remarkable 1983 KGB document on Kennedy, which I published in my 2006 book, The Crusader: Ronald Reagan and the Fall of Communism (HarperCollins). The document is a May 14, 1983 memo from KGB head Victor Chebrikov to his boss, the odious Soviet General Secretary Yuri Andropov, designated with the highest classification. It concerns a confidential offer to the Soviet leadership by Senator Kennedy. The target: President Ronald Reagan. (A pdf file of the original Russian language document and an English translation are available here.)

Deemed likely to vote? Who made that prognostication?

I really enjoyed her remarks at the dem convention. Down to earth and seemingly relaxed at the podium in the worlds biggest areana (or so). I hope she wins.

Here in Indiana our republicans nominated this fellow named Mourdock over the statesman Richard Lugar. Mourdock is a hard righter.

I figured he probably would be elected in the general election but it looks like the Dem Donnely is giving him a good run.

The fact that the election is even considered up-for-grabs is somewhat telling in a state that would elect a stick if it had -D after it. I mean, you'd probably have to kill someone in a DUI incident and leave the scene to hurt your chances there. Oh wait...

I'm amazed that Chris Murphy's election isn't a foregone conclusion yet against Linda McMahon here in CT for Joe Lieberman's seat. He should be up by double digits but most polls show him leading by the margin of error or less.

Me too, although I love how Brown has been such a disappointment to the tea party, remember when he was their saviour? Boy did that guy pull one over on the "base". It's kinda fun having him in there to vote like a thoughtful, rather than knee jerk Republican.

I'm surprised the Tea Party latched on to him, although I suppose they saw it as an opportunity to win over Kennedy's seat. Brown has always been an independent thinker, which is how he got elected in MA. His performance thus far shouldn't surprise anyone. It's what he ran on.

I like the guy. He has no problem putting principal over party. What a novel concept!
