And the republican war on women continues....

What a colossal ignorant misogynistic DB. Where do these idiots come up with this garbage.

Congressman says abortions never necessary to save life of mother

Quote:
"With modern technology and science, you can't find one instance" of a pregnant woman's life being at risk, he told reporters after the debate. "There is no such exception as life of the mother, and as far as health of the mother, same thing." He added that "advances in science and technology" meant that abortion is never necessary for the health of a mother

Dislike the guy all you want...but to wish that his mother had died of cancer?? Dude...too far, way too far.

My mother, my wife, my grandmother...all cancer survivors. My wife's mother died of cancer when my wife was young.

Your comment was WAY over the line.

Its OK for liberals/ progressive to be full of rage and hate. After all, they DO know what is best for you---and how to exclude themselves from all that they created that harms you.

Good grief, who doesn't know someone with cancer, or who has died of cancer? Anyone? I doubt it.

'Pro-life' congressman urged woman to have an abortion:

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- A Tennessee congressman discussed an abortion after possibly impregnating a woman, according to a report Wednesday that cited a sealed divorce record.
Republican Rep. Scott DesJarlais of South Pittsburg purportedly urged an unnamed woman to find a "solution" so that he would not have to inform his wife that she was pregnant,....

“The Colbert Report” targeted U.S. Rep. Scott DesJarlais from Tennessee Wednesday night, lampooning the pro-life congressman’s abortion scandal.

“Shocking!” Colbert said. “A conservative Republican congressman was caught having an illicit affair — and it wasn’t with a man.”
DesJarlais has said there was no pregnancy.
“He is still adamantly against abortion,” Colbert said, “except when it endangers the political life of the father.”

I agree. This Congressman is willfully putting womens lives at risk by advocating a belief that is medically wrong and ignorant. His belief is right up their with Atkins magic vagina theory.

Why I do not wish for his mother of have contracted cancer I have a hard time not wishing ill upon this cretin of a human.

I guess maybe he never considered mental health as any part of his position. Before safe hospital abortions were available, back alley hacks were the only choice. Or, if you were a bit more upper class, there were '' places '' to send Sally so no one would find out. Once the baby came it was ripped from her arms never to be seen again. Think that might have an affect on someone's mental state?
Of course, contraceptives are the logical answer but sometimes they don't work for any number of reasons and some of those DB's are against that too. And, it's always so easy to judge from a distance.

What an a**hole. Having faced this kind of situation myself, I'd be happy to escort this idiot back to the Stone Age where he belongs.

So you have nothing in regards to his statement only insults at 'liberals' (what ever that means) and stating that the people you do not agree with are brain dead. Excellent.

No.

Responding to the idiotic posts of three, six and seven.

Maybe i should have said conservatism instead of liberalism to appeal to your morals. Maybe the adopted name of liberalism, Progressive.
