I had a choice of what forum to put this in. Since it involves 2 models. Since more people come to this forum here it is. This was an e-mail on an e-mail group I belong to.
A new 404 Mog owner had brought his new Mog home and put it away for the night. Next morning he goes out to wash the mud off of it so he can go show it off to his female neighbour he hopped in and fired off the Mog. He then threw the gearshift into 2nd and reved it to get it out of the barn. Next thing he knew he was moving backwards and in total panic mode. Instead of hitting the brakes and pushing in the clutch he slammed the accelerator down harder while trying to figure out where to move his big-booted clad feet. The four wheel drive was still engaged from the day before and the Mog easily pushed his 1971 Mercedes 300SEL 3.5 back through the rear wall of the barn and down a slight incline.
Damage to 170 year old barn $900 for new planks, window & a beam. Damage to the car $2700 for new hood, radiator, grill and rear bumper. Damage to Mog- chip of red paint off the pintle hook $1.99.
