I think the Navy ought to give Enterprise one last mission. Weigh anchor, set course to the Narrows and drop anchor off Staten Island. They could house hundred, no thousands of people on that ship with only a skeleton crew on board. Close the hangar bay doors for recreation areas. We send aircraft carriers all over the world at the drop of a hat for those in distress. How about helping our own??

Two ships, same name, although the Enterprise of matter in this thread was actually launched within a few years of the originals scrapping.

I think we should paint it pink and call it USS Princess, staff it with gay Marines and Sailors. Then steam for the Mideast that would scare the **** out of the Taliban, Al-Qaeda etc… Then have them sing their way in.

The Navy just needs to stop naming ships after lame politicians.

More so since the Navy has a ton of very significant names from history to pick from. How about the Wasp or Hornet for the new carriers?

If Ford wanted his name on a Navy ship...well plenty of harbor tugs...:D
