Timely advice. The way it happens here, is that you're driving along, and then suddenly, you're in fog.

A 75mph is the posted speed limit along this stretch of road ,meaning the fastlane drivers are at 85 mph ,some drivers must have continued that speed ending in this tragedy .A concerned driver would of brought down their speed to 65 or less making the possabilty of a reasonable safe quickened stop POSSIBLE.The Texas law does ticket truck drivers in the fastlane ,I cant imagine it being any worse unless big trucks were involved at the 85 mph speed. The state troopers for Texas have to hate these raised speed limits ,their the ones cleaning up the mass destruction in broken lives and property.Ive been in an accident were being hit by a car at 20 mph was involved ,I cant even imagine what some of them were feeling looking at dimmed lights through the fog coming at them at 85 mph felt like.

First thing I thought was fog when I saw the thread title. The way people drive in fog is criminal, as in homicidal. I used to say "slow down" but now I say "get off the road".
