A Co-Worker mentioned this to me today as well. Anyone want me to drive the 15 minutes to his shop to take some pictures

^x2 - that is what I heard. In addition, he also said he expected to make a little money on it even paying that.

Hey, I've got a couple of Euro 240D's I would have sold him for $19K, being the nice guy that I am.

I watch that show regularly, and I don't recall any mention of what he paid for it. That is a well kept secret on all his purchases, for good reason I would imagine. I don't see it as a big $ car, it's only an automatic 240. Were it a low-mileage 300D turbo, that might be another story.

Wayne mentioned it being a 20k car that he could still make a few bucks on. Vague but it gives you the ball park.

He's been a little more entertaining recently as he's leaving the microphone on during the supposedly private haggling process.

I was rolling listening to Wayne talk to a psychotic lady from hell laughing at his 400k offer on a rough ferrari 250gts. Felt bad for the old man and owner of the car for decades who fathered that nut job.

Another crazy daughter selling her late father's 1929 Pierce Arrow called Wayne's offer a slap in the face.

Its nice to see another wheeler dealer taking the abuse for a change. I thought a guy was going to punch me one time when I offered $2000 for his 200,000 mile early 2000s Z71 with the nastiest interior I've ever seen, every light on in the dash, bad brakes and a howling rearend. He expected KBB rough trade in which was 3 times higher, nevermind that it would cost more than the truck was worth full retail 2 times over to get it back into excellent condition even if he gave it to me for free. It did have a very nice peel and stick nudie calender on the dash.

That 240D is on eBay right now for $19,800. I noticed the sticker in the rear window that still remains.

Best line from the episode "Well normally I would never drive a car that has been sitting for so long but after all it is a Mercedes and its a diesel".

I thought the exact same thing when I watched that show. If I had been Wayne I would have walked out of that office a lot sooner than he did.
