It amazes me when immigrants make a conscious decision to move to the western world to enjoy all the privileges that are afforded in a free society. Yet, for some reason when they get there, they resist integrating into the culture, and if anything seem to become more secular and hold onto their oppressive beliefs. This is hypocrisy at its worst. After she serves her sentence, she should be sent back to wherever she came from.

PS - this isn't a "Muslim" problem. This is a "religious zealot of any stripe" problem. I'm sure you could find fundamentalist Christians or Orthodox Jews who'd flip out if their child refuses to study their holy book.

What religions can you think of that don't have a history of similar zealots?

It the same for any religions, so do not single out a particular religion. Children beaten to death by not following the teaching of the Bible, abuse by Priests etc. Do a search there are many examples.

Crazy psychopaths always find an excuse. If not the Koran, then death-metal or even a Beatles song. Helter Skelter is a-comin'!
