from the article-

“I don’t believe the guns are at fault, I believe it’s the people who have the guns,” said Garlow"

so logically, its makes perfect sense that more of the people have the guns.

It's a little late for a back-to-school sale...

When will the do gooders work it out ~ " my son is a total nut case & when he grows up he is likely to become a homicidal maniac but we will keep it a secret for now, we dont want stigma." We had a situation down here yesterday that a school group were taken to a clay shooting range for instruction on safe handling of fire arms & the do gooders got their pants in a knot because it was too close to the US shooting. What happened is tragic but as much carnage would have occurred if some one had opened a large gas tap in the basement & just waited for the explosion. Over here they have taken the guns away yet we still have plenty of people shot. Now they have outlawed knives. You cannot have a swiss army knife in your pocket when you are down the street or have a fish scaling knife in your car. You will have a lot of explaining to do if you are pulled up with a baseball bat in your car, even if you have a glove & ball with it!
Time to fix the mental health system & then the so called gun problem will go away.

Predictable as the sunrise. All it takes is a rumor of some sort of possible ban or regulation to ripple through the nutcase moroniverse and they run out and spend money they don't have on armaments they don't need. They are perfect consumerist tools. Six months from now they'll be selling off their stuff at fire sale prices.

Do tell! How about an outline of the proposed fixes?

I don't see whats the issue with not having a high capacity magazine. You can carry multiple magazines and just slap in another if you suck at aiming while at the range.

Mandatory reporting of mental health issues in children & adults would be a good start.

For saying ths, any aspirations you may have of launching a successful career in the mainstream media has been irredeemably, permanently & unequivocally SHOT TO HELL

By whom? Licensed psychiatrists and psychologists? Social workers? High school guidance counselors? The next-door neighbor? Say, I'm a high-school guidance counselor with zero formal training in diagnosing mental health issues, but little Jimmy here seems to be in a bit of a funk, so I'll drop a dime on him. Additionally, I notice that my next-door neighbor tends to talk to himself whenever he skins his knuckles while changing the spark plugs on his Plymouth Valiant, so what the hey, might as well have him bundled off as well. Co-worker just saw in image of Jesus on his buttered rye toast? Where's my cellphone?

Oh, and let's have the other shoe drop while I'm at it: To whom am I reporting these mental health issues?
