It would be a gasser M47 too.

Arnie was on the "Tonight" show earlier this week, and Jay Leno showed a picture of his new Unimog PU truck. Leno remarked how much fuel it must use, and Arnie replied, "no, no, it's Bluetec diesel, gets 20 MPG". Sure it does, right after you drive it off the fiscal cliff, just before it hits the ground. I never heard Arnie talk so fast before, he must have been trying to preserve his "green" image.

It could have been any car. What makes this so special? It's just an old piece of junk that is past it's time. Now if had been a brand new, top of the line car, I might see the waste.

Why did he choose a 123 TD Mercedes-benz? (don't tell me someone else did)!

He or his azz-shat could pick a brand new, top of the line car, built/assembled in his native country - Australia for that, then I will cheer him up for it. Not a 123 TD at least for me. Thank you.

If it was a Honda, Honda guys would be pissed. If it was a Ford, Ford guys would be pissed. Its just life.

The only real acceptable car would have been a Prius.

Well, because that car belongs to an era in which everything was able to be rebuilt, not replaced. Because it is a statement that durability is important to the consumer, that a car can be kept running forever with adequate maintenance. It is not a car that was meant to be thrown away after ten years, or run to the ground without an oil change. It is a dinosaur, but even that dinosaur had at least a few good glass panels, tail-lights and wheels that could be reused instead of destroying everything. I even bet it drove to that spot under its own power.

Puch-Steyr, for one! They made the G-Wagen under different branding.
