Indeed. Erudite and comprehensive. A very good video, pity it's meaningless in the greater scheme of things. As he said. The sheeple want to abrogate their responsibility to the authorities.

There day by day appears no sensible resolution other than much increased security at schools. I was suprised the other day that at least one primary level school up here in remote eastern Canada is kept locked up from noon onward. I was asked to pick up a child and ran right into their system when in the process of doing it.

I assume the playgrounds during lunch and recess are now heavily protected in comparison to the past. Local authorities are smart enough to be aware the risk otherwise now is too great to do otherwise. This is in Canada where both the percentage of ownership of guns is very small in comparison to the USA. Plus you are held much more accounable if your gun or guns are found in someone elses posession. Locking trigger guards and fairly secure storage are requirements up here to own a gun. The courts regularily take away the right to own guns from anone not following the various laws. It is a commmon thing at court for many issues including domestic violence to seize the guns until a court makes the order permanent. I believe it is also an offence to store ammunition with the guns in the same containment device.

This to me may seem harsh to some but to me it does tell people that this is one of the responsibilities of gun ownership. I would be in pretty serious trouble if one of my guns was used to kill someone. Lots of jail time would be expected as indirectly it could not have happened without me or someone else enabling it.

We have not yet had the first incident locally to my knowledge. If it has occured the authorities would be smart enough not to let the media get hold of the information or caution them for the public good it should not be used. For some years when I enter schools someone challenges me and directs me to the office area even if thats where I was going anyways.

All it really proved to me is that far too many gun owners are not smart enough to really secure their weapons properly to even protect their own children from getting hold of them. Plus the excessive media reporting and speculation draws far too much attention by other unstable people.

When a general population is drifting towards an unstable mindset in higher numbers the risk does increase. The value systems of our young population is perhaps less healthy than they once where.

Quite the understatement there I think.

It's not. Read the gun forums. Those aren't 5th graders ranting about armed insurrection, in spite of the fact that most of them sound like it.

Insurrection, civil war, etc....One question: Who are you going to shoot at?
Anybody that disagrees with you?
What? a group of "Patriotic" terrorists try to take out the POTUS or elected officials? It ain't gonna happen.
Every enforcement agency in the USA would come down on any group or individual so fast and so hard......and we civil, peace loving citizens will be glad they did.

Horse excrement. Most of the schools around me (both in nicer parts of NYC and NJ) aren't terribly well protected. The chance of a kid dying in a mass shooting is what, 0.01% of the chance of the same kid getting hit by a bus while walking home from school?

School shootings get a lot of publicity, but they're pretty low on the list of "unusual ways to die." The best thing to do would be to give the shooters as LITTLE publicity as possible, so as not to encourage copycats.

Kids, the School Bus, and You

On average:
7 killed in bus crashes
19 killed getting on and off the bus.

The LA bank robbers who were up against the LA police force sure got what they were asking for ,if their vision was shooting up as much bullets as possible in a last desperate attempt to flee its what they got.
