Hey, you know that Ferrari 458 you said I could borrow....well......sit down...

Twin-turbo, 700-hp Ferrari 458 crashed into swamp after top-speed run

Some duct tape and a buffing pad ... good as new.

Top speed runs on a .56 mile runway? Bad. Idea.

Edit: After some looking I found that Top Gear uses a 1.75 mile runway for straight line stuff, and they have had cars run out of runway before hitting top speed.

I figure anyone who can afford to buy a ferrari in the first place, can afford to lose one.
lot of time and money invested though, shame.
