I thought the interesting part of the story is that you don't have to live in the Congressional District to run, but you do have to if you want to vote for yourself.

hes in a great position of a guy who's laundry is already public knowledge, and now old news and he can focus on politics. Reminds me of Sonny Bono. No one ever wasted time asking Sonny if he did drugs in the 60s or could keep it in his pants, as those were all self evident already.

IMO, most politicians need a big nasty public scandal that gets publicly known, so we can get past fishing for more and concentrate on issues that concern the country.

I wished I lived closer to the lowlands so I could vote against Sandford ! Too bad his wife didn't run against him as initially leaked by the press. That would have been the election to watch ! I hope her brother Steven gets on the Comedy channel and bashes Marky-Mark Sanford !

For those interested in the polling that will surely come out in the days to come the best outfit for polling this election was PPP. They missed the exact vote % by only one percent.

Currently they have Colbert at 47% and Sanford at 45%, so it will be interesting to see how this changes in the days to come.

Currently Sanford's big talking point is that Colbert has never held elected office and that she has always been in the business world.

He is hoping everyone will forget that the first time he was elected he ran on the platform that he had never held office before and had always worked in the business world.

Excuse me? I detest what this married guy did and I don't care WHAT party he or any other scumbag that cheats on their wife happens to belong to! I don't care if the cheaters name is Clinton, or whoever! A scumbag is a scumbag, and I have never seen anyone with enough character to detest such a scumbag think any different regardless of their party. Well, maybe I DO remember some dems that stood by slicks side in spite of him being one of these scumbags.
