What Goes Around, Comes Around
It seems that some liberal publication "Mother Jones" published a recording of a private meeting of Mitch McConnell and some campaign aides.
Of course, today's politicians are WAY too clever to get their fingerprints on something like this. Watergate was a great example for learning how NOT to do such things. The huge advance in electronics since those days, lets them proceed with stealth.

McConnell doing what he does best. Calling Ashley Judd "mentally unbalanced". Mother Jones broke the story but it's all over the media, left right and center. The left is rejoicing because it's a rare opportunity to expose old turtle face, the right has it's hair on fire claiming the meeting was bugged, without evidence of course. Rush has given marching orders to the tools and now they're glassy-eyed, happily spreading the Watergate meme.
Tempest in a teapot.

Are you saying that Ashley Judd is mentally balanced? Under proposed legislation, wouldn't she be banned from owning a firearm?

What is America coming to when a political hack can't plot campaign dirty tricks with any expectation of privacy? It's not too late for McConnell to retain Donald Segretti as a campaign consultant and get his act together.

If I were a politician running for office, I would be an absolute fool to not find out my opponents weak points, for the campaign.
This type of meeting is standard issue for political campaigns. Republican and Democrat. Unfortunately, someone broke the law when they illegally recorded it. The media doing what it does best is focusing on the meeting, and not the crime. |

No. I'm not a psychologist and neither is Mitch as far as I know. You on the other hand might be qualified to make that call, assuming you could make it while disregarding the fact that she considered running against the NRA's very own Ninja Turtle.

Only the first few minutes of a two hour conversation were recorded. This is key to the entire case. If the person were invited into the room and forgot to turn off their voice recorder then no law has been broken. I used to attend some pretty high level meetings when I worked for BIG oil. Before each meeting the room was gone over by our security people and everyone had to consent to a search before being allowed in. I was never searched, but it was a random thing so you never knew. It was made pretty clear to us that if we did record anything we would be fired for doing so, but that was all since no crime would have been committed. We were not even allowed to take notes. If you could not remember what was said you were not smart enough to be in there. |

Im not sure why this is a big deal, as if we don't all know that every person running for any kind of public office spends quality time plotting how to discredit anyone running opposite them.
I though initially that Larry was listening to some Justin Timberlake

The fact is McConnell never called Ashley Judd "mentally unbalanced", despite the carefully crafted headlines all across the Obama Disinformation Conglomerate, which obviously leaves the similarly "cognitively challenged" believing that lie and encourages them to willingly and even enthusiastically propagate their mass delusions deeper into and broader across the information universe. An almost organic cognitive infiltration. It is obvious that at the very least the previous poster has failed to read or comprehend the facts as laid out in the original reporting which contains links to both the original audio and a transcript of that audio for anyone to fully inform themselves of the actual circumstances, the participants, and their specific contributions. But such due diligence would obligate someone to willfully ignore fact and accept responsibility for promulgating a lie in order to participate and advance the Left's "Mitch McConnell called Ashley Judd "mentally unbalanced" because he's a typically old angry white misogynist who hates any one not like him, and calling Ashley Judd that proves it!" meme. The question is did the poster know the facts and ignore them or was he ignorant of them. According to David Corn of Mother Jones, here is what was said and who said it: "Presenter: Brother…That's my favorite line so far. Absolute favorite one so far. [Laughter.] She also is an open advocate of gay marriage. You can see this is what she tweeted after election night when Maryland approved same sex marriage. "It's okay to love whom you love." And then she talks about Maryland's bill. Ah, and again. She's clearly, this sounds extreme, but she is emotionally unbalanced. I mean it's been documented. Jesse can go in chapter and verse from her autobiography about, you know, she's suffered some suicidal tendencies. She was hospitalized for 42 days when she had a mental breakdown in the '90s. Phil Maxson found this, which sort of I think is a pretty revealing interview." Here is the entire transcript: http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2013/04/mcconnell-transcript in the entire transcript McConnell makes a single statement at its beginning: "Sen. Mitch McConnell: If I could interject…I assume most of you have played the, the game Whac-A-Mole? [Laughter.]This is the Whac-A-Mole period of the campaign…when anybody sticks their head up, do them out, and we're even planning to do it with the Courier here shortly, so…" The "left is rejoicing because it's a rare opportunity to expose old turtle face" engages in and considers opposition research? The left is rejoicing because it consists of vast numbers of "willing idiots" who can without regard to conscience or integrity, be reliably counted upon to parrot whatever fabricated falsehood their Dear Leader and his Ministries of Propaganda put forth. It is irrefutable that the rights of participants in a private meeting where violated when without their informed consent they where the subjects of a surreptitious audio recording that was subsequently provided to the same progressive media organ that published the Mitt Romney "47%" remarks. The identity and the motivation of the individual/s or organization responsible for that violation of privacy and law remain unreported at this time. There is no question that the unauthorized audio recording exists. |

So this guy bought a camera hoping to capture history in action and to video his handshake with Romney. The handshake never took place. Romney blew the joint right after the fund raiser was over and never gave the hired help the time of day. And since the Waiter had been invited to the event making a tape of it was totally legal. The Waiter had some sort of connection to one of Jimmy Carter's Grandsons, so he gave him the tape. The Grandson gave it to Mother Jones. |

The Romney "47%" recording was only mentioned as it relates to it being the subject of earlier Mother Jones disinformation effort, there was no mention or question of the source of that recording, that specific information is irrelevant to the topic at hand, even if it is accurate. |

I rather like Ashley Judd. I was sorry to hear she and Francetti are splitting as I really like him too.
Would I vote for her? I'd have to hear what she had to say before making that call but she's a good actress.
