"Officers applauding, walking away from the scene."

'nuff said.

Kudos to the Boston PD and all the other LEO's involved - I can only imagine the amount of restraint and professionalism necessary to bring this to an end with suspect #2 alive.

Tonight's top tip: If your escape plan involves a boat, it should probably involve water too.

Good news. Hopefully they can extract some info from him before trying and frying, should he be found guilty of course.

MA doesn't have the death penalty.

Could they just deport him after trial? Of course, make the time that he'll be brought to Logan Airport public several weeks in advance. If he can make it from the airport entrance to the boarding gate, he can go "home"...

He's pissed off:
* Basically all Bostonians, including the population of Southie
* Chechens, for giving their cause a bad name and alienating one of their few allies
* Czechs, for being confused with Chechens (true story)

Need I say more?

Who knows? Unabomber wasn't executed, nor were Moussaoui or Nichols (McVeigh's sidekick). Generally, the Federal death penalty is less likely to be applied if the offense happened in a non-death state.

As I said: deport the little twerp; if he can make it through Logan in one piece, good luck to him.

What may (unfortunately) happen....

Yep.

But the defense team may likely sidetrack everything into the mental incapacity area, calling their clients "nuts" and unable to understand the nature and extent of the charges against them, tying up the whole case with psych exams... for years....

And the anti death penalty folks will be happy...

While the popular rage will subside as the US population generally has the attention span of a daffodil....

Comedian Bobby Slayton had some telling, savage remarks.

"Oh my client is crazy! He doesn't know what he did" says the defense lawyer;

Slayton says" "Okay, Fine, so he doesn't know what he did: so put him in the electric chair; and tell him it's a F...ing ride!"
