I find in intriguing that people so desperately WANT the Boston boys to be "lone wolves". I just can't figure out why. Is it b/c they feel sorry for them? Are they scared of the thought of a broader plot? Or, are they just backwards ass thinkers? To dismiss out of hand that these clowns had help or were egged on by someone else or trained/radicallized is just plain dangerous....

So, a person who is perfectly willing to SNEAK around and place bombs in a crowded area is honest enough, in your mind, to believe him when he says that he had no connections?

BTW, where in this thread have I claimed that there was evidence one way or the other? In case you hadn't picked up on it, this guy is just a little crazy.

I am NOT jumping to any conclusion. I simply find it quite difficult to believe such an answer from someone who has the recent track record that he has.

Anyone with the tiniest bit of street wisdom would be quite hesitant to believe this statement from his mouth.

Who is dismissing it? I have not followed this very closely and I ignore all the pundit/speculation stuff. Are government officials dismissing it or just some random people on the street? If it's the later I find that no more amazing than people jumping to conclusions that they were part of a bigger plot with no proof to support the claim.

On the radio this morning they said that the investigators in examining the bombers computers could find no connections to organized terror.

Personally I don't care one way or the other. I am content to wait and see what comes out.

This was my reply to your OP.
Lie number 1. Never said anything about believing him. Lie number 2. Yes you have jumped to a conclusion unless you are willing to say that you believe he could be acting on his own. Lie number 3. I did not indicate or say that I believed anything he said. All I asked was if there was proof. Based on the US legal system a person is innocent till proven guilty. So long as their is no proof, the legal system must assume he is innocent of out side ties.

I do not have any opinion on his guilt or innocence regarding your accusation one way or the other without proof.

If I were involved in the investigation, I would not believe it for a second.

In fact, I would believe exactly the opposite until such time as I had completely exhausted all possible connections, and even then I would be skeptical.
