Does anyone see the irony in this excerpt?

This doesn't force conversation to be gender-neutral, just makes the language of future laws gender neutral. i.e. police officers' benefits vs policemen's benefits.

Fireperson. Firepeople. Firewoman... I like that one.

I have noticed that when it comes to urban fire personnel they're usually called firemen, but the people who fight wildland fires are traditionally called fire-fighters. No reason they can't all be called that and then the wimmin' won't get all you know how they get.

I hereby order the words, "Men", "Man", "Women", "Woman", "Boys" and "Girls" be hereby removed from all dictionaries immediately and anyone caught uttering these forbidden words be fined $10,000 and/or ten years imprisonment. All Roman citizens are hereby ordered to use the term "Homo Sapien" in lieu of the aforementioned forbidden words from this day forward.
