6.3 (M100) Daily Driver

Summer only. Maybe 200 miles/month.

Crazy?

He'll no it's not crazy. If you can't drive it, why bother owning it.

If you gave me the greatest exoticar in the world and said that it was mine, but I could never drive it, I wouldn't even want it taking up any of my storage space.

All this said, this is a personal decision that only you can make. Good luck with it.

This old lady in my neighborhood has a 6.9 as her daily driver, don't think she passes 200 miles a month.

Well there are always financial considerations. I miss driving my 123 wagon. Don't really want another diesel.

If money is an issue you shouldn't even think about a 6.3.

If there financial considerations then surely you cannot contemplate any M100 as a anything, daily driver or not. Of course if you're rich then hell yes.

My S600 wasn't an issue, but the repair bills got old when the warranty lapsed. Not to mention the depreciation.

What the definition of rich? It's all relative.

What would be more expensive an out of warranty S600 or a 6.3?

Go for brother! If you find one thats well kept and not a junker take the dive. Get a quality (PPI) and garage it in the winter. Look into parts and labor cost, ect, ect. In everything in life there are financial considerations and it has nothing to do with "If you ask you cannot afford" overused attitude I read all the time. Every buyer of any product has a right to know what they are getting into.

It is indeed relative. I don't consider myself rich, but I expect that someone working at McDonald's and eating cheese and crackers would consider me to be pretty well off.

The good thing about a 6.3 is you still can do a lot of the work your self.

The problem with me and Mercedes cars is I like them to be absolute perfect. Even with my 1978 300CD I brought a fortune to the dealer and Phil, I can only imagen what a 6.3 would cost me.

Yeah. If I lived in a warm climate it might make more sense.

500E might make more sense (sense is another one of those loaded terms).
