Short memories. Republicans loudly called for investigation into the problem of classified information being leaked to the press. I won't say that all of Holder's methods are justified or prudent but this admin is hardly alone in wanting to put a stop to such leaks. McCain can be seen on video sternly calling for a stop to such leaks. The accusation was roundly and loudly made that Obama was behind the leaks as a way to bolster his 'tough on our enemies' cred.

So now WithHolder is issuing a subpoena for the AP stuff because it is of such grave national security. Isn't that crap getting old? The first time someone pushes back for some apparently legitimate reason doesn't seem too out of line, but when this same tactic is repeated a non biased observer would normally smell a rat.

What's going on here is the R side lambasted Obama for these leaks, claiming he did it in order to bolster his tough guy cred. No real proof of that that I can see.

Now that he and team have gone after the leakers in a big way, it's a different bundle of outrage.

BHO may be dirty in this but I'm not impressed with the stance of Darrel Issa and everyone remotely in that camp. It's not an entirely honest approach, quite the opposite.

As for Obama, I'm not really sure of the details of this. What I am pretty sure of is that it's getting harder and harder to find viable candidates for POTUS in our land. And no wonder. The hyper-partisan 24 news atmosphere, web, etc. has to be a bit punishing. Libs did the same to Bush you say? That's where you'd be wrong. Bush had an actual honeymoon, followed by about 90% of the nation giving him their support and approval post 9/11, at least until it became clear that he was rolling out his 'I'm gonna do my daddy one better' new product of Iraq War 2.0.

For Obama, it's been a wall of hooting from day one. Darrell Issa has scam artist/thug/liar rubber stamped in red on his forehead. Talking heads in Congress gave Obama enormous grief for various leaks, particularly the leaks in question here.

It's becoming clear that there will be no winning for a D POTUS in the near future, even if the public votes him in. He or she will be subject to the sort of nonsense we're seeing now, and you have been happy to parrot much of it. Cover yourself in glory, oh man of tough integrity.
