Connect ipad to TV

Has anyone done this? What is the quality of the video and audio?

I want to watch Netflix based stuff on our TV and don't have another way to connect the www to the tv or vice versa

I've seen iPads connected to projectors via the mini Displayport however, there were issues with the audio not coming across although the video looked fine.

There is a 30 pin AV connector kit provides an HDMI out, with digital audio.

AppleTV

I stream from my iPad to my HDTV through an AppleTV. It works perfectly.

If you can pick up a Wii cheap off of Ebay it will stream Netflix if you have a wi-fi set-up in your home.

If you buy everything used it might be cheaper than buying all the cables.

Roku. Cheap and works flawlessly.

Still use a couple on the old TV's with only composite in.
They can connect to your router either wired ethernet or wireless.
Never had any lag issues using the wireless.

We have a couple of RokuHD XS 2 boxes in the house have 802.11n from three Airports (Time Capsule, Extreme and Express) throughout. Watching VuDu HD content is often painfully slow and sometimes impossible. Going to run Cat6 instead.

I've run as many as three simultaneously, all wireless and had no issues.
But I don't use airports either....
I don't trust that fruity stuff to allocate resources appropriately...
Also haven't tried Vudu.

Never hurts to have copper if you can.
