Are you a cat person or a dog person?

I consider myself a cat person, but I know some dogs that I like, too. One of our two cats is sitting behind me as I write this, waiting to claim her chair from me .

13 cats (all indoor, all the time) and two dogs (same) share this place with Darling Wife and me. Oh - and a Father/Father-in-law type person.

What kind of person does that make me?

Sauteed I prefer cats but for a good roast, give me a dog every time!

Nothing against cats. Just tired of feeding them to the coyotes.

I have two greyhounds... amazing animals. First road trip in the white wagon was a 14hr round trip to pick them up in Abilene KS.

Very much a dog person. Up until recently they consisted of 3 boys and 1 girl. But sadly, my little girl passed away a couple of months ago.

All are rescues, with the two big ones being found near the industrial park where I store my cars.

They make me happy.

2 dogs, 3 cats. Attrition is taking it's toll. I jokingly say that I loved pets until my wife filled the house with them (kids as well ). While there is a grain of truth, they're generally on my good side.

Here's our latest rescue of a rescue (dog was a rescue that the owners couldn't keep). Aptly named Shadow. He's a cold, hard stuffed animal killer.

Many people say that us dog owners and their pets eventually resemble each other. Keep checking on your eyes. Or maybe it's already too late?

Four working dogs who are not pets. They live with and protect my herd and largely eat offal from a nearby meat processor, much of it wild game. 3 neutered and semi wild barn cats and 6 indoor outdoor spoilt rotten housecats.
I admire the independence of cats. Pet dogs for me are too needy and dependent. I have enough dependents.
