Funny, but lawyers are one of the few things standing between the common man or woman and abuses of power by government and corporations.

Every process requires a negative feedback loop to keep it from running out of control.

Dentistry has a fairly high profession suicide rate. Go figure.

davidmash 06-03-2013 08:12 PM

A rash of suicides is a good thing? Go figure.

So you never heard the old joke "whatsoever you call a score of dead lawyers? ' "a good beginning."
You need to explore your humorous side....

Interesting. I heard the rate among doctors was high was well. I wonder which occupations have the lowest suicide rates.

I had a lawyer friend who got divorced, lost his job, and had a bad problem with depression combined with excessive alcohol use. He moved back in with his mom in AZ and I hear he's doing better.

I have heard lots of comedians tell jokes. The suicides in KY are real. Perhaps it is you who needs to do some exploring.

Nobody likes to go to the dentist and they all know it. I read that is why they have a high suicide rate.

Architects on the other hand, have a high rate of mental illness.

Sorry, but I don't feel a lot of sympathy for a profession that most people get into to get wealthy from the misery of others...Excessive lawyer abuse and spurious lawsuits are part of the reason so many things are messed up in this country. At best, they are necessary evil, and there are too many of them, rooting around for someone to sue.
