Why bother? They appear to use audiobahn speakers, and they sound like crap. A 3" speaker (of any brand) isnt capable of producing any meaningful bass, especially if it's competing with the exhaust of a motorcycle to be heard.

Get a smart phone, or other mp3 player, and wireless ear buds. Get an FM transmitter.

I see it as a waste of money. The unit itself isn't weatherproof, so unless you have a weatherproof bag for it, it will be damaged. The speaker don't have an enclosure that I can see, and without one, bass and sound quality will surely suffer.

It reminds me of the speakers I mounted to my bicycle and then plugged to my Walkman when i was a kid.

All the systems I've had were weatherproof and installed in the faring. If I were you, I'd contact the founder, and see where the closest showing of the product will be, then go and check it out. It sounds too flaky to trust without a demo prior to purchase.

the unit itself is not waterproof, but thats ok as it is gonna be mounted in one of my hard bags. the speakers are weatherproof and from everything i have seen/ read are supposed to provide pretty quality sound. bass is to be expected almost non existent on a motorcycle. i was hoping to find someone with first had experience. ear buds are what im trying to avoid.

Yeah..stay away from earbuds, unless you want to become a grease stain on the highway.

the closest ill come to it is either playing music through my bluetooth or ill use a single ear bud. i wont be buying until feb so i will have time to research it. the only other option i see is a full front fairing. thats not gonna happen.

im gonna attempt to have my bike complete the way i want it by july of next year. planning to make the 14 hour road trip to my wifes family reunion on it.( she rides with the kids and her family)

planning to do new bars and grips, a new mustang seat with backrest for me, sound system, gps mount, windshield bag to keep my phone and wallet in, a power outlet for the gps and phone, hid headlights and finally a trunk bag for the luggage rack on the back.

The problem with speakers on a bike is that you will hear less of it than the people around you.
It is very annoying if someone on a bike passes with blaring music form the speakers.
Most bikes are already noisy enough.

Why? At 65 the wind noise drowns traffic out until they're right on you anyway.

I always ride with ear plugs in unless it's under 5 miles. On long rides I run ear buds that knock off around 20db, and music set at a comfortable volume when the engine's off.

this system works ok within its parameters of performance. I have seen it sold at some HD dealers and such. Not going to sound like the HK system in your Lexus, but it works, go for it.

So long as you're considerate of others and can protect the HU, go for it. The jerks that blast those things at stoplights and gas stations are probably the same no-muffler types who really annoy everyone, and when they BLAT (hard on the throttle) through a residential neighborhood, leaving a trail of barking dogs, crying babies and screeching car alarms in their wake, they do a disservice to everyone; add loud music and hey, it's a lose-lose all around.

In other motorcycling news, Bill Warner died yesterday while aiming for a speed of better than 300mph (which he's done before) when the bike veered off the runway and crashed after hitting 285mph.
