That what happens when you rely on a gun - get fat, weak and slow.

A friend of mine and I were at a park once and someone pulled this on him.

The thug with the gun didn't know that my friend, although overweight and out of shape, had not forgotten what he learned as an Airborne Ranger.

It was over pretty quick, and my friend picked up a nice memento of the event. I thought it was traditional to empty the bullets and give back the gun, but my friend is not really a traditional type of guy.

This was about 40 years ago, so idiots with guns have been around a long time.

By the way.... The thug was beating up what we took to be his girl friend, and my friend asked him if he would rather pick on someone his own size. The thug pulled out the gun and before he could get it past his waist my friend had had him by the armpit and the guy just crumpled.

I guess there is a nerve there that can be pinched, because it looked as if the guy had been tasered.

The ulnar nerve and a major artery, nice spot to pick. Kick someone there hard enough and they can bleed internally

I'm surprised the skater kid was still kind of messing with the guy after he pulled the gun.

thats where the saying i grew up with comes to mind. if you pull it, you damn well better use it. in his case, he was a damn fool for even thinking about pulling it. theres like 10 of them and that think MIGHT hold 5 shots.

Rule #1: Don't pull a weapon unless you intend to use it. There's always somebody out there that will kick your ass for it.

I had a friend who would watch anybody with a weapon like he might have to get into a lethal fight. That's the kind of man you do not ferk with.
