How would you like to go....
I think I would like to go like this. Married nearly 66 years, Ohio couple dies on same day - CNN.com
|
Preferably quick and painless.
|
Fairly quickly and preferably at a somewhat advanced age.
|
Given where I've been spending a lot of time the past few days, not with a car on top of me!
|
I want to go peacefully in my sleep, like my grandpa...
not screaming like all the passengers in his car... |
It is sad and yet beautiful at the same time. I find it interesting how quickly the husband went down hill after knowing that his wife was not going to make it. It seems as if her life is what kept him going.
|
My wife's grandparent's went the same way. Wife died, husband died exactly a week later.
I know that I'll probably die from a blood clot, in my late 80s. It's the way my grandfather, his father and his father went. I'd like it if I went the same day as my wife. I don't want to be able to have the memory of her death in my head more than a day. |
After my Grandmother Ednas passing her twin sister Edith followed the day after her funeral ,sisters who were Loved for their stories and their big hearts, inseparable.
|
I had a buddy who was considerably older than me. He seemed to live to help his son who was an addict and in trouble all of the time. When he decided that his son was beyond help, he died.
There is more to the human thing than the sum of the electrons, neutrons and protons. A carb is a carb... ya, right. |

And then there's this....
Listen to the words of the song. Truer words were never spoken. Squidbillies: Billy Joe Shaver - YouTube |
Jeez Pooka... next thing ya know you'll be posting Willie Nelson quotes....:D
“My doctor tells me I should start slowing it down -- but there are more old drunks than there are old doctors so let's all have another round.” - Willie Nelson |
I think it is just terrible and disgusting how everyone has treated Lance Armstrong, especially after what he achieved, winning seven Tour de France races while on drugs. When I was on drugs, I couldn't even find my bike...

My mother's grandmother, age 99, told her family that she would love to get a letter from Queen Victoria, like every British citizen did when they turned 100.
Then, she turned 100. Soon thereafter the letter from the Queen arrived, with congratulations on reaching 100 years of age. My mother 's grandmother died the NEXT day after she got the letter. |
