3.6 liter, 255 HP RENNtech 300E!

I was cruising the Mercedes ads on E-bay this morning, and stumbled across this 1990 300E with a RENNtech installed 3.6 liter 255 HP engine, and an unbelievable list of exterior / interior upgrades. This is really a James Bond car.

You have to check out the link and read the list of upgrades.

(I have no interest in this car and am not the seller).

I wouldn't buy it if for no other reason than the owner/seller doesn't know what it is! That car's a 190, no doubt about it. Maybe it's called an E36, but it's in a 201 body
If it's legitimate, it's likely a very nice, fast car

That car has been listed before.

It is real as far as I know from before...

Definately a 190E with an engine upgrade, it is one nice looking one, but I'm not sure if I like the wheels.

Looks very nice, but I'd have to agree with Alon, I'm don't like those wheels. I can think of a lot of wheels that would like nice on it though.

You know, if I had 100k, I wouldn't spend it on mods. Can you imagine what you could get with 100k?

As I type this, the bid is about $12,500. I'm afraid the original owner is going to take a major bath on his original investment.

I have seen this same car for sale for the past 3 years or so. He also tried to sell it in The Star some time ago....couple years back I think.

I would rather buy a 5 or 6 year old C36....better performance and will still retain some resale value

Here is the reply I got from Kruse International:

Quote:
Thanks for your interest. This is how the car was represented to us. Unfortunately, I didn't know the difference between the 190E and E class. Because it stated E in the in it, I thought that it was right. In the listing format for eBay, it puts cars into sections, such as Mclass, Eclass, etc. So, this was the only place I could put it. Nonetheless, I cannot change the listing after there are bids on it. I don't anticipate this vehicle reaching the reserve. It will be put on our Preferred listing page soon. Thanks for the heads up!
Sincerely,
Kim
