With that said, I am partial to being set on fire.

I didn't see the option above, so I'll just add it here:

Drinking two bottles of some stuff that taste awful in the prep was the worst part. Other than that no one there insinuated that I was stupid because I am not in love with big government like here so that tops this forum. Then I got the amnesia medicine, said hello to a nice looking nurse and the next thing you know my wife asked me what would you like for lunch after you get dressed. And then my answer was a nice big Gyro dinner which was the first time in about ten years that I got the green light for that. So for sure the colonoscopy.

If you get a choice between anesthesia and the amnesia pill take the amnesia route. And the suprep method is no problem tastes bad but gets the job done quickly.

Last one the prep stuff had mostly no taste at all. It was basically a baking soda solution. Mixed fine with whiskey.
My doc gave me Propofol, Michael Jackson's sleepy time drug of choice and I can see why he liked it so much. Bam you're out, bam you're awake, seemingly seconds later. Nothin too it. Anybody who's >50 and putting this off is a pure fool.
