In his own word, the cat himself responds:

When I watch you go about your activities, make no mistake about my intentions. I am not curious or coy.

I am judging you.

This is an eerily prescient commentary on the tardiness of my breakfast.

I rarely purr. Why signal that I am content?

I want you to believe that I cannot be mollified, so you can continue your attempts to appease me.

Ultimately, our lives are spent with one meaningless task after another. And yet, the great mysteries of the universe remain undiscovered.

So, does it really matter if I peed on the counter?

Mirror, mirror on the wall. This might be a good idea especially if the cat is alone all day long.....

caught the little SOB in action as he brazenly decided that since I was occupied looking the other way, he'd get in a few moments of quality clawing. managed to get a pic ill have to post later.

Pretty sure it started as light spot as suggested earlier (good call) and its just become habit, but it occurs to me that this particular room has horse hair plaster, so he might just find the wall delicious

Also, there are two cats, and they both have weird behavior. The black one restricts himself to digging holes in the wall and running around, but the calico one carrys clothing around.

I used to have a cat, Tooloose (Screwloose Latrec) who had a panty fetish...I'd come home and all my drawers would be out of the drawer.

Lol, that's what this other one does. Only clothing of the fiance, everything from socks and underwear to a jacket, the cat will drag either to her food bowl or to the front door. We did a test laying 6 articles of clothing, three hers, three mine, and the cat will only move her stuff. Funny to watch

My brother and his wife have a cat that will throw a fit by dragging his socks all throughout the house if she feels as if he's ignoring her.

lol, and yours is a female too. Is mistress's cat a female? I wonder if its more likely that the female cats will carry things around, like they are carrying kittens or something

here he is in action-

I found another spot as well, I hope you can see the claw marks in the wall in these pics- The first one light hits, but the second one is actually covered by a radiator, not near a window. I have to set up a camera for that one.

Also, I had to add this for cat lovers. this is their private toilet entrance in the closet

It may just be the light as mentioned. Although the cat may want a new hole in the wall. He has to be conditioned by the first hole in the wall to some extent.

It wasn't until I saw that cat commode entrance that I realized what your cat is doing - He's trying to get the hell outta there...

Buy your cat a scratching post?

he may be doing this. The one hole hes scratching in the pic is right on level with the couch. he runs at top speed and dives through that hole in the wall like superman. Pretty funny to watch him. He may want a hole to dive through and land on the couch.

hes remodeling I guess.

lol
These two animals are horribly spoiled. We have no shortage of beds, posts, toys, ect. The fiance buys crap all the time.

The commode entrance has worked perfectly though, it gets the boxes out of sight and contains smell. My eventual plan is to build an elevated rabbit hutch structure on the opposite side in the closet, so I have a waist high cat box easy to clean, and they can't go anywhere in the closet, just to a compartmentalized cat box.
