She was very courageous - moving piece indeed; somewhat sad though.

Did they say what kind she had?

Very moving, but very inspirational. I just lost a loved one to cancer and I'm always amazed at how quickly it can take over. Thank you for posting

One of our son in laws fathers is in the throws of dying with cancer tonite. I was going to visit him in the hospital for the last few days.

My daughter suggested that since he is hardly awake for no more than five minutes over many hours it was pointless really. He has asked to go home by ambulance to die there tomorrow.

The loss of my best friend locally not that long ago was a real eye opener. We intended to do some things together when he retired.

Instead he had just retired and told about seven hours before he expired that he would not live a week. When the cancer metastasizes it can rage through our systems very fast sometimes.

I am a believer that at some point in the future if mankind does not do itself in. This particular disease will be totally preventable or curable. Or at least most forms of it will be.

The problem is there is no way to know when this may occur. Could be thirty years or three hundred or perhaps even never. Still a lot of the greatest killer diseases of mankind have been somewhat eliminated or totally eliminated over time already.

My doctor has ordered up a cat scan and ultrasound today as I had a bad infection that enlarged one of my testicles. Since it was determined that there was an infection and the testical returned to normal size and consistency with antibiotics. I can only hope all my tests etc will come back negative for cancer.

Although I was quite surprised how seriously my urologist reacted after the examination. On the otherhand this doctors skill level and judgement are about as good as it gets. So we will see what actually transpires soon enough. I guess since my initial bladder cancer 12 years ago he will always be ultra conservative..

The testical was examined right after the three month check for reocurrance of cancer in the bladder. This was before the drugs had decreased the size much but now it is normal. You guys should really try to remember to check your testicals for lumps or roughness almost on a weekly basis in the shower. Caught early you may not like the cure but it is curable unless it gets really going. Most cases fortunately are a common infection.

Since the infection difficulty started two days after my previous examination. I felt it was a result of the scope examination. I went on anti biotics for seven days but the infection returned with a vengeance a couple of months later. This time the medication was twice as strong and to be taken for two weeks.

I can't think of anything else to say, so I'll go with ditto.
