I do not mean to pry, but you don't by any chance happen to have six fingers on your right hand?

Nice link, thanks. Princess Bride is one of my favorites.

"Inigo" Sorry about the fumble-fingers.

I have 3 daughters. How many times do you think I've seen this?

Or "Beauty & the Beast"? "Little Mermaid"? Hell, I used to sing-along with Disney movies.

"You Keep Using That Word, I Do Not Think It Means What You Think It Means”

I saw the Cliffs of Insanity in person last summer, although the cliffs were spectacular, I couldn't help how cool it was that it was the actual cliffs used in the movie.

The suggestion absolutely crushes a lot of drama films and most of the 20th century. Think of the impact in Star Trek The Wrath of Khan or its new progeny Star Trek Into Darkness or a lifetime of other drama based on revenge plans such as 9/11. This is clearly a bad idea for American culture!

One thing that surprised me about that movie, the male lead - well mostly, sorta shared - Wesley, didn't appear in anything else that I saw. I think he did have a few roles here and there but the film didn't appear to be a springboard to stardom for him.

*EDIT* Well, just looked and he had a lot of roles, I guess none of them big enough for me to notice.

The Princess Bride is one of the few movies I can watch over and over. The point made in the OP about revenge is well taken, but "prepare to die" is an all-time great line.

I've seen it a few times myself, I'm a bit sheepish to admit. Andre the Giant was an interesting fellow. He reportedly insisting on always picking up the check when dining out with others as his appetite was so enormous. One actor told a story about an evening of dining out with him during the making of another movie. Andre had always picked up the check in the past so on this occasion the actor in question quietly stole over to the maître di, trying to give him his credit card to pay for the meal. Suddenly, Andre picked him up from behind and carried him over to his chair and placed him in it as one might do to a small child, saying: "ME PAY."

The actor? Ahnold Schwarzenegger.

Sheepish? For having seen one of the best films ever made?
The filmmakers were very accurate to the book as well.
Much of the dialogue comes directly from the page.

'We are men of action, lies do not become us.'
I have used that one a few times...

Still waiting for the right opportunity to bust out
'Bow to the Queen of slime, the queen of filth, the queen of putrescence...'
