Might be buying a Harley....

Surprisingly, I found one that I really like (both in looks and how it rides)! I am really considering an Iron 883 in Black Denim. I'm thinking buy new, its not that much more than a used one, and I can order/buy it with a set of black pipes already installed. I'm going for something that looks like this:

I know we have a few motorcycle riders on here - any of you guys ride a HD?

A member here seems to think that I will turn into a redneck, but a Chevy C10, and marry my cousin, but I think I will be ok....

I don't own any bike at the moment but have ridden all of my buddies', including a Sportster. Don't buy into the "chick-bike"/Chickster b.s., it's a nice balance of maneuverability and power while sounding like a Harley.

Edit:
There you go.

Sorry but my mind was perverted the day He rode in on His 1200 and She rode in behind Him on her 883, both identical paint and helmets and riding gear.

Are you new here?

BTW-I really did mean don't buy into it. I thought it was a fun bike to toss around.

Think long and hard. You start doing any serious distance rides on a shaker you'll see.
Most buy a Sporty and find they want something bigger, then if its new and you want to sell it there's a loss.

Think weekend luggage, sweetie on back, better suspension.

I think Aklim has a 883. Is the 1200 Sportster dimensionally the same as the 883?

Aklim also has a female avatar

I'd buy a V-Strom or SV650 instead -- best Harleys ever built. Or a Beemer. The real kind i.e. a flat twin!

I can see the luggage, but no sweetie for me...

And suspension... My cars don't exactly have the best ride quality to begin with.

What would you recommend dudesky?
