What we've been up to.

I figured I'd share with y'all what my better half and I have been up this last year or so. We've entered into the world of motorcycling, and despite some initial teething problems (seriously, they were such small pieces of titanium!), we're still at it, and enjoying it. Though with winter setting in, we probably won't be able to get out quite as often.

Never-the-less, the cooler temps do allow for us (mainly her) to get caught up in the telling of our tales. Some of which, specifically the decidedly slanted versions, are told on her own blog, with the most recent trip(s) first.

More tales, and ones that allow my own version of events to be told, are on ADVrider, where we have an ongoing thread that flows more or less chronologically.

So check them out, read the stories, look at the pics, I think there might even be a video or two. And then we can discuss how our upcoming rides could be made better/worse by adopting new tax policies, which president to blame for the rides that didn't go well, and what sort of role religion should play in planning a road trip. Heck, we can even debate car oil vs. motorcycle oil!

MV

That looks like fun! I've thought that if I got a motorcycle, I'd like one of those . Cute utilitarian little things.

Oh, and I change my oil religiously.

I'm enjoying the read, as well imagining the little bantering back and forth all couples do. Quite entertaining...thanks for the share!

Are you talking about a dualsport in general, or her TW200 in particular? That little TW, know as the Wombat, is a fun and handy little bike. Slow, there's no arguing that, but you don't have to go fast to have a good time. The rack we added makes it even more useful.

TransAmTrail.com is the exclusive source for Maps Roll-Charts, and GPS Tracks for navigating the Trans-America Trail - an exciting, off-road, dual-sport motorcycle adventure across the United States

You've probably seen some of this already and I don't know how much riding you really want to do but the possibilities are nearly endless. The site I linked has references to "coast to coast" trails, north-south and east-west. Also look into organized dual sport rides.
