Good for him! I hope it works out for them. Running a restaurant is a lotta work.

Did she say 50% of autistic children never hold jobs after High School. That's a sad statistic.

Good for the father.

You got that right!

......somewhere someone might be calling the county board of health and asking if it's permissible to hand wash plates.

A sadder statistic then.
I have an elderly couple as clients who have an adult daughter in her early 40s I think who is handicapped. Dad is no longer ambulatory and mom survived a stroke a few years ago. Wonderful people who have carried a great weight throughout their lives.
Life can sure be cruel.

Good for him! And a creative name, too.

As the father of a son with special needs, I'm thankful to be in a position to give him a place of employment when the time comes and if he needs/wants it. As with my typical kids, I want him to do what he wants to do whether that's working for me or not.

We currently work with the transition academy at our local high school which teaches job skills to students with special needs. A student and their aide come in two or three times a week and put together orders for our donations department.
