Thanks for the good wishes edge. It was certainly quite a year for my lovely wife and I. We went from being stunned in learning of her malignant growth, to being elated by the relatively simple and 100% effective surgery to remove it.

I hope that everyone on the forum has an enjoyable, safe and prosperous new year.

Happy New Year all!

Instead of our usual Eve GTG with our close friends right up the street, the kids and I are hanging out with my wife at the hospital. At least until they kick us all out. She was admitted yesterday morning with a yet-to-be-diagnosed swelling in the tissues in her neck which made it hard to breath. Many blood draws and tests, a CT scan, Infectious Disease Doc, lymph nodes clear, WBC where it should be, no fever, but so far nothing although they have been giving her heavy doses of IV antibiotic and the swelling is down some. She's up and about, had enough $h!tty hospital food that was tough to swallow for several reasons. She did enjoy the smuggled in sundae, though!

Hoping she gets out tomorrow. Our friends are DVRing the ball drops and we'll get together this weekend for the celebration. Probably an early bedtime for me tonight.

Sorry to hear that--especially the "yet-to-be-diagnosed" part.
I brought my wife home today, from the hospital. She has many joint issues. Just had L4 and L5 fused to relieve some chronic leg pain and cramps. Pain has dropped from the 8-10 level down to 2-4. That is great news.

Hope your situation turns out well.

Happy new year to all.

Sorry to hear that, Swamp. I will keep your wife in my prayers tonight.

Thanks, guys.

Mrs. and kids were sobbing messes when we left. The nurses were very nice and gave us an extra hour.

Despicable Me 2 on the tube, popcorn and sleeping downstairs in the living room and things are better. Only a movie and a half away from midnight so I might just make it.

We're sending your wife positive vibes, MS! Hope they can get that pain to zero!
