Instead of using an electric slow cooker, you start your recipe on the stovetop then move it into the thermal containment bag where the trapped heat continues the process as the energy in the pot slowly coasts. Simplicity.

Hmmmm...that's kind of interesting. With our crazy schedules we do quite a bit of crockpot cooking. Might warrant some further investigation!

Absolutely. Just get it started and take it with you. Would have made our lack of oven space a non-issue this past Christmas. We hosted but were running back-and-forth between my father's house and mine.

Great for tailgating!

Isnt that the same bag that walking hobos would carry on a long pole across their shoulder ?Pot roast in a slow cooker , yummm.
