android phone email questions

Trying to get comfortable with an Android phone but old iPhone habits die hard. Particularly vexing is navigating the setting screens. I hope someone can help with:

1) Is there a spelling autocorrect feature? I see a line with suggestions. Can I set it to automatically pick one?

2) With the iPhone I can highlight a section of a craigslist ad and it'll paste images and all in an email message. Android only pastes text. I take that back. My Android tablet pastes images. Not this phone.

3) Is there a way to set email/gmail so a swipe deletes an unread message?

Thanks,
Sixto

What flavor Android are you using? That may help others refine their responses.

I don't know how to delete any of my texts - sorry - can't help there

The auto correct thing - predictive thing does exist on my phone. 'Cos I often send messages in both English and Dutch I turned it off pretty quickly...

Android 4.2.2. Jelly Bean isn't a flavor, is it?

I think the answers may be no, no, no. I have always had droids, but I never exercise them like you seem to want to.

For keyboards, I use Swype anyway

Jelly Bean isn't supposed to be a flavor...

It was...

Cupcake 1.5
Donut 1.6
Eclair 2.1
Froyo (frozen Yogurt) 2.2
Gingerbread 2.3
Ice Cream Sandwich
Jelly Bean

( as you can see , I have the old stuff)

After you get the 3 suggestions, or is it 4... just keep typing and it will choose the one it thinks is most correct. Usually works. So instead of hitting the suggestion just keep on typing.

Also, for my Nexus4 in 4.4, swiping to the left deletes emails, swiping to the right archives them into "important".
