In reference to page 12 this is probably one of the best examples of Einstein's Special Relativity theory in my opinion.

I'll never forget that one.

I developed a sortation and handling control system and was in the customers facility in the implementation phase. I had been working about 12 or 14 hours a day and was completely isolated from what was happening in the outside world.

One of the customers guys who had a very dry sense of humor walked in the control room. One of the other customer employees asked him if the shuttle had launched. The guy very matter of factly said, "yeah, it blew up and killed 'em all." I thought he was joking and focused on my work. When I got out of there that evening I learned that he hadn't been joking.

I'll never forget it.
