Conversation that just happened.

I was in the kitchen, talking to my wife as she made dinner tonight. My daughter was sitting at the dinning room table, working on her computer. She took a deep breath and the conversation began...

Daughter: Dad...I just finished my application to The University of Dayton.
Me: You know, they have a one question entrance exam.
Daughter: Really?
Me: Yeah..."Name another word for synonym"
Daughter: Really, Dad? That's crazy!
Me: Yeah...and since you seem to believe that, have you yet thought of a lucrative career in VCR repair?
Son: Hehehehehehehehehe.

My wife nearly died laughing...

lol
nothing like scoring one on your kid.

Truthfully she could make money with VCRs according to the local radio, which claims that a majority of Americans still own a VCR. I actually still have two of them and use them. If she does pursue that career, many a luddite may be happy to pay to keep their ancient technology going.

She's received acceptance letters and offers of scholarships to 3 different colleges so far...Wittenberg University, Washington and Jefferson College, and Wright State University. She's hoping for something good from The University of Dayton, as it's the alma mater of many from our family. UD will be expensive, but their reputation is unbeatable, and the level of education is second to none.

I personally would be happy if she were to just take classes as the local community college, which she was also accepted to, but no scholarship was offered. She has decided she wants to be a Forensics Accountant...but I expect that to change again next month.

Daughters never changed their majors I don't think. Both were aggies. Sonny boy went from biology > enviro science > forestry in two years' time.
