I'd like to see and drive one also. Reminds me of the Messerschmitts of the 50's and 60's. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Messerschmitt_KR200

I think I want one.

It lists a back seat in the specs but I didn't see any pics. Wondering if it's a real back seat or an infant size back seatish.

The average American will not fit in it, unfortunately.

Elio has been designed to fit 95% of all men.

The tallest person we have had in the Elio is a 6’8″ former college basketball player, the largest is a 6’3″ 365 lb man, and the smallest is a 5’0″ woman (no, we didn’t ask the weight!).

They all fit and loved it! If you are outside of these sizes, you’ll just have to hop into an Elio yourself and see how it fits.
...even I fit within those ranges!

Twould appear to be another trike/mobile coffin. At least they claim air conditioning as standard though it'll probably be a crappy system. Not sure what use it would be as more than a toy though. No luggage space, no passenger capacity. I guess a cool toy for a single office workers commute. Don't think I'd have the death wish to drive one of a main road around here.

Saw one of the prototypes when It stopped in central FL. It was a little rough around the edges but their latest car looks nice. I'd buy one since my daily commute is around 34 miles each way and I don't need a full sized car, even a MINI.

Looks like another car.....that is still probably safer than a motorcycle

having enjoyed motorcycles for a long time - I'd rock an Elio. At the price and with the available stick shift (here you go spdrun) I'd seriously consider one. - note they say that cruise control is extra/optional...I wonder if I could buy the parts and install it myself...

its just that the more I think about it, the less I belive that they are going to actually charge that price for it. (55hp engine and all). I can see the out the door price being closer to $10k...which makes a Kia Soul look better

I'll wait for others to get it and make it more popular before I would sink the money into a vehicle that doesn't have service locations and aftermarket parts support. This is a vehicle that is probably great (on paper) for short distance commutes if I lived in the city or am using it as a fleet vehicle to go from place to place within the city.

I reminds me of the Messerschmidts, too--except, as the ad points out--The Elio has a reverse gear. The Elio also has a roof, and not a bubble canopy--that must have been hot!
